Pepper had a litter of puppies on July 16th.

The sire of the pups is Spirit's Rebel Express. His pedigree is very impressive.  A deposit of $100 will reserve a puppy and also your pick of the litter based on the sequence of order placement.  Female puppies are $400 and males are $350.  You will be notified of your position, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc..., when you place your order. Call now or send us an email to reserve your puppy.

There are a number of Ground Haulers available that may be less expensive and more convenient than air transportation.  Here are a few to choose from:

Redwing Hound Hauler (208)263-6007

Flying Diamond Canine Transport (801)674-9478

Canine Express (208)934-9059

I am going to keep at least one puppy out of this litter to train and sell next summer as a started dog.  It will be ready for hunting Fall 2008 and will have its Junior Hunting Title and will also know hand signals to some degree.  I will keep you posted as to the pups progress.  Let me know if you are interested.

McDonald Labradors Guarantee

Pups bred and whelped at McDonald Labradors carry a HIP, ELBOW, AND EYE GUARANTEE. This covers any genetic problem which prevents the animal from being certified by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA), or the Canine Eye Registration Foundation, Inc. (CERF).

The Orthopedic Foundation of America will only certify dogs who have reached 24 months of age. For this guarantee to be honored, the dog MUST be X-rayed and certified within six (6) months of reaching 24 months.

The Canine Eye Registry Foundation will certify pups at 6 weeks of age. You must certify your puppy by the time the dog reaches one (1) year of age.

If a problem should arise before the dog reaches the required age stated herein, you MUST have OFA evaluate the X-rays and send you a copy of their findings, or a copy of the CERF evaluation from a Board Certified Canine Ophthalmologist.

When the following requirements are met, this GUARANTEE will be in effect and honored by McDonald Labradors:

  • 1.  A copy of the findings from OFA or CERF MUST be sent to us for our records.
  • 2.  The dog must not have been bred.
  • 3.   The dog must be neutered and a vet certificate to that effect must be sent to us for our records.

At this point, when we are satisfied that a problem does exist, the animal has not been bred, and is neutered, we will either refund the purchase price of the pup, or give you another pup of like or similar breeding. If the price of the replacement pup is greater than the original pup purchased, the owner will pay the difference. The expense of transportation of another pup will be assumed by the purchaser. This choice will be made by the purchaser.

This constitutes, in its entirely, the guarantee by McDonald Labradors. However, if you experience any type of unsatisfactory condition, which you believe to be genetic, we welcome your call and will be willing to discuss and consider your concerns and recommendations.
